Eddie Johnson Isn’t Fitting Into Fulham’s Strategy

Eddie Johnson has long been on the fringe of international and club success. He scored eight goals in his first year as a US international. He lit up MLS in 2007 to the tune of fifteen goals and six assists. Shortly afterward he made the jump to Europe, signing with Fulham.

He basically hasn’t been heard from since, at least in terms of scoring goals in bunches. Johnson has spent two seasons on-loan, once with Cardiff City and once with Aris Salonika. He only scored a handful of goals for both. He still hasn’t scored for Fulham.

Over at The USA 10 Kit, I made the case that Johnson’s struggles this season are due to a misuse of personnel as much as poor form.

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
