Gringos Around the ‘Net

USA fans

It’s time for another edition of Gringos Around the ‘Net.

Yanks Abroad published an interview with Clarence Goodson, who should end up as the USMNT’s third-choice center back (behind Oguchi Onyewu and Jay DeMerit).

ESPN tracked down the US players from the 1994 World Cup squad.  The team competed in an era when there wasn’t a professional soccer league in the States but still managed to shock the world by qualifying for the knockout round.

Following their most recent loss in what has thus far been a disappointing season, Seattle Sounders of the MLS have announced they will give season ticket holders a one-game refund. The Seattle Times has the details.

Though the following video is not gringo-focused per se, it is surely the early leader in the ‘best World Cup commercial’ competition.

I think limiting the “missiles” at the event are a good thing. Now if they can only do something with the fluvulas!
