Gringos to Watch is an FFG feature in which we highlight upcoming matches that can be caught stateside. Here’s our list for the next round of fixtures.

  • Ricardo Clark, who almost single-handedly gave up two goals during the World Cup, didn’t have a summer to remember. Last Saturday, he received his first chance to redeem himself during a brief cameo for Eintracht Frankfurt. On Friday at 2:30 pm EST, he could see more playing time when his club takes on Freiburg; you can watch on GolTV.
  • Eddie Johnson, Clint Dempsey, and their club Fulham face Blackpool this Saturday, a match that will be Fulham’s first without starting striker Bobby Zamora. His absence should guarantee a start for Dempsey and could mean a substitute’s role for Johnson. The match will be shown on Fox Soccer channel at 5:00 pm EST.
  • Carlos Bocanegra has been a permanent fixture in St. Etienne’s starting lineup this season. On Saturday, the left back will look to keep up his fine form against Montpellier, though you’ll only be able to watch if you subscribe to It airs at 1:00 EST.
  • Oguchi Onyewu continues his quest for playing time this Saturday at 1:30 pm EST when his AC Milan takes on Catania. Since Milan will be playing in their third match this week, Onyewu has a decent chance to see the pitch for once. Check it out on Fox Soccer Channel.
It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
