This will not be a normal FFG preview. No charts, diagrams, or tactics predictions. Why? Bob Bradley has called up a precocious squad for tomorrow’s encounter in Cape Town against South Africa (USA’s last match of 2010), so there’s no telling what the squad will look like. Don’t feel flustered if you don’t recognize all of the following names. We’ve never even seen some of these guys play.

That’s not a knock on their skill level, however. It’s just a young squad.

If you’d like more information on the new faces, read Fanhouse’s excellent rundown. For even more information, here’s an interview with US Assistant Coach Mike Sorber, courtesy of

Since this is an exhibition, the ultimate goal is to gauge player development. Bob, if you’re reading this, come back Wednesday evening for a full evaluation of each player.

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
